7GIF – Free Tool to View GIF Animations
The quick explanation, just in case you’re not familiar with GIF files, is this: GIFs are animations, short videos. You can view these animations on your Windows-powered machine using 7GIF, a free application offered by Xtreme-LAb. This application’s functionality is sure to put a smile on your face – but more about that later.
7GIF can be used on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 – 32 as well as 64-bit editions, of course. To install the application on a PC powered by any of these Windows editions you will have to download an installer, run it, and then follow the onscreen instructions presented by a setup wizard. Getting the installer will take little time and going through the setup wizard will also take little time.
You can load a GIF file into the application by simply dragging and dropping it on the application’s interface. The main part of the aforementioned interface is taken up by the GIF you loaded. At the bottom there are playback, zoom in and out, and other buttons for various bits of functionality 7GIF has to offer.
Speaking about functionality, here’s what you can expect to get from 7GIF: view GIF files, stop the playback, increase/decrease playback speed, rewind animation, next/previous frame, zoom in and out, fit window, switch from one animation to another (if you loaded more than one into the application), save current frame, save all frames, print current frame.
You can use 7GIF for free in English or Italian, the two languages the application supports. Do consider making a donation if you find 7GIF useful.
